Me and my Big Mouth

This was submitted to me by an anonymous friend who wanted to share a story of hope fighing cold sores.

I’ve battled with this recurring virus  for over 20 years. About 6 years ago it spread into the gums of my teeth but was misdiagnosed until last year (the dentist prior to that totally had been treating it as something different). In the last 6 years breakout have become more frequent so did the medicine usage increase. Finally I felt some hope that at least I had a right diagnosis….and my med was changed. However, with the new med the frequency of the virus picked up again, almost like my body depended on it to keep the virus dormant is the only way I can decribe it. In December of 2009 I had a reaction to the med and can no longer take it. I can ALWAYS feel the virus up in my gums and in certain areas of the teeth. Also since the outbreak in my gums in 2006 I have not been able to get my teeth cleaned at the dentist without an outbreak within 24 hours after.

Since using Reliv the “feeling” the virus all the time in my gums is gone, I don’t have to fear the dentist anymore and I haven’t even had an out break in a long time. Of course, no one can say its gone….but here’s hoping.

A Teenage Boy Finds Hope with Good Nutrition

I’m a teenage boy. My parents have always been very supportive of who I am and have always raised me to play to my strengths instead of focusing on my weaknesses, so it wasn’t every really an “issue” to them that I had some differences from other kids when I was younger. I tried participating in sports like T-Ball and swimming from the time I was about 3 or 4. I was the kid who always sat down in the outfield with no interest in the game, and if the ball did come my way, so did the whole team running after it. This bothered me. So my parents moved on. It just wasn’t my sport. I had no interest in soccer either, or any team sport. I tried swimming – many times. Over the course of about 5 years. Could never get out of the first class. Looking back, in school, I wrote my letters backwards AND upside down for a long time. Couldn’t decide if I was right or left handed. I eventually got it. Then I had to learn cursive. That was as hard as learning to print. I hated loud and sudden noises. Firetrucks, ambulances, fireworks. It was too much for me to handle. My parents sheilded me as best they could. Finally in 4th grade my grades started slipping and I started to show signs similar to dyslexia. My parents got me help. I did do occupational therapy and vision therapy and found out I had sensory processing disorder. This made so much sense to everything in my life. It did help. Alot. My school work improved, I was able to find words better, and focus better. I finally learned out to swim. My parents  blocked out all my senses by giving me a swim cap, goggles, nose plug, and ear plugs. All I had to do was focus on the actual strokes and breathing. Now I LOVE the water, its hard to get me out of it.

This year my mom started me on Reliv. It has helped me so much. I now have more ability to focus, I’m better able to control my emotional outbursts especially anger and frustration when I can’t get something. I can find words more easily to express myself. Loud and unexpected noises don’t bother me. Language, and writing papers in school is getting easier. I’m calmer, not so distracted and hyper. Swimming is easier. I don’t have to rely as much on my swimming gear to hold my focus on being able to swim. I now play team games at least at youth group instead of sitting on the sidelines, and now I play catch with my dad and am not afraid of the ball coming at my face. I also sleep better, wake up easier, and have better energy. I am thankful that my mom has found Reliv for me. I hope to help other kids find hope that they are looking for too. Its a gift that a parent can give that will make life better.
